Sam Deneke
President, Air & Space Defense Systems
Sam Deneke is president of Air & Space Defense Systems for Raytheon, a business of RTX that specializes in integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics and effectors.
Prior to this role, Deneke was vice president and deputy of Operations & Supply Chain, responsible for manufacturing and supply chain strategies and execution across Raytheon’s portfolio.
Deneke was previously vice president and deputy of Engineering for Raytheon Missiles & Defense, where he was involved in the design and integration of air and missile defense systems, precision weapons, radars, command and control systems, and advanced defense technologies.
Prior to that role he was vice president of business execution for Land Warfare & Air Defense, where he oversaw the execution of air and missile defense systems, radars, indirect fires, sensing systems for ground platforms, counter-UAS, antitank guided missiles, and ground platform system integration.
He served as vice president of Land Warfare Systems at Raytheon Missile Systems before Raytheon Company’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020.
Deneke is a board member for the Banner Health Advisory Council, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, and the Industrial Advisory Board for Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. He is also the Raytheon executive sponsor for RTX’s Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) employee resource group.
Deneke earned degrees in chemical engineering and molecular and cellular biology from the University of Arizona.
